Ebook About
Volume 3 of The Beginning After The EndWas I taking this life for granted? Having this amount of power at my age had made me lose some of the sense of rationality I’d had in my former life. No longer a king, no longer tied down by rules and politics, I’d become careless. In this world, my potential was boundless.Though Arthur Leywin would like nothing more than to pursue his studies at the esteemed Xyrus Academy, where he hopes to push his already potent magical abilities to new plateaus and perhaps discover something more about his reincarnation into this world, he finds the politics of the school’s halls even more challenging to navigate than those of the council chambers he once inhabited as King Grey. Arthur faces inept professors, jealous classmates, and an overeager director while fending off the affection of an old friend and the aggression of an old enemy. Then a routine class trip into a low-level dungeon turns out to be anything but, and Arthur discovers something that will change his life forever.

Book The Beginning After The End: Beckoning Fates, Book 3 Review :

Here we go again. I’ve persevered with this series because the story line is diverting enough and I’m in lockdown. It doesn’t pretend to be literature, but that’s okay. It probably counts as one of the better in the genre. Just don’t expect layers of complexity, sub plots or much in the way of character development. It’s one dimensional. Our born again hero doesn’t suffer much in the way of moral dilemmas and, so far at least, there’s no apparent reason why he is where he is, with the knowledge and powers he possesses. That knowledge and power, moreover, are under-utilised so in sum there’s a lot of potential unrealised. That said, the plot trots along entertainingly enough and, when you can’t leave the house it’ll do. My real beef, as it is with so many of these ‘scribble and send’ ebooks is the lack of attention given to syntax, grammar, spelling, omissions and typos. The authors want the cash, but aren’t prepared to put the effort into a professional product. Turtleme is no exception. He doesn’t sin as much as some, but he does sin. He could do well to pull the series, put it in the hands of a competent editor and republish with the expectation of being able to demand a bit more dosh for the improved product. As it stands, if you don’t mind gritting you’re teeth every now and then, or it just doesn’t matter to you, go ahead. Have a read.
I was enjoying this series until this book. It was a light, overpowered main character (MC) who has astonishing things just fall into his lap, plus he is a reincarnated pinnacle warrior, etc. Whatever, that's fun.But why then go to the wizard school? The one so incompetent that the MC is made a professor on his first day, after preventing not one but several deaths? Now I understand that safety is not the priority it is in developed countries, but still! Maybe I just dont like wizard school books. I think that any teachers who get away with this, or schools with students slaughtering each other (and an approved Disciplinary Committee made of students) is a bad idea. The school story arc is boring, no bones about it. There is no reason to be there, and a dozen reasons not to go. And it open up to a manga style multiple women all want him and he doesnt want anyone. The overall arc opens up at the very end, simply to act as a cliffhanger. It makes me curious, but not enough to buy the next book.
